How To Watch Tnt Without Cable
Published By Dennis Restauro
You dont need cable to watch TNT. You can watch TNT live and on-demand using any of the following TV streaming services: Sling TV, Hulu Live TV, DIRECTV Stream, and YouTube TV.
These services will let you watch TNT Shows like The Alienist, Good Behavior, and more as they air or even on-demand. TNT is also an important channel for basketball fans as they air nationally televised NBA games. Read on to learn more about the different ways you can watch TNT without cable.
What Platforms Do Hulu And Sling TV Support
In addition to watching Hulu via a web browser, you can download dedicated apps on mobile platforms , media streaming devices , select smart TVs and TV boxes, and game consoles . Although Hulu supports live TV streams on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 owners do not get this same benefit.
Sling TV offers apps and experiences on most of the same experiences, but is notably missing support for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch consoles. However, Sling does offer an app for the Oculus Go and Quest, whereas Hulu dropped support for VR headsets.

Fubotv Is A Contender To Replace Cable But Not For Me
Now having tested four of the best cable TV alternatives, I’ve still got two main contenders and two coulda-been-a-contendas. fuboTV is out without TNT, a personal deal-breaker. It’s got a great app and interface, though, so I just hope they find a way to get the Turner channels eventually.
Right now, Sling is still winning with the best pricing for my particular needs. YouTube TV’s superior app and mid-stream navigation help make it my favorite if money were no option. However, a year of YouTube TV is $780, which is 85% more than the $420 per year for Sling Blue.
Next up, I’m going to take the newly-rebranded DirecTV Stream followed by Philo. And as much as I’ve disliked DirecTV Stream in the past, it has every channel I need, while Philo has neither TNT nor USA.
I’ll give fuboTV credit for its MultiView streaming, as that’s a truly great way to stand out from the pack. I bet there are plenty of fuboTV customers who are pretty happy with the service, and I just wish I could join them.

Sling TV Local Channels
Yes, Sling offers live local channels, although the selection varies depending on where you live. Sling offers NBC and Fox in certain cities and markets. You’ll also need either the Sling Blue package or Sling Orange + Blue.
It’s not ideal, of course, but if you really want access to more broadcast network programming, consider getting one of the best HDTV antennas so you can watch all the local channels.
You can also subscribe to Showtime, NBA League and other channels through Sling, without paying for one of the Orange or Blue subscriptions.
Sling offers an easy way for football fans to find out what channels are showing which games. Just visit sling.com/gamefinder and search by your team’s city, state or name. This page will also show you what games are streaming in your area if you type in your ZIP code.
What Channels Come With A Sling TV Package
Were going to need your full attention for a moment, because Sling TVs packages are pretty confusing.
As mentioned earlier in the story, Sling TV has three basic live TV streaming packages: Sling Orange, Sling Blue and Sling Orange + Blue.
Sling Blue and Sling Orange are both $35 per month packages, but they offer different selections of channels.
The line in the sand appears to be the ESPN family of networks. Sling Orange has them, and Sling Blue does not. Since ESPN channels are expensive for the streaming providers, the Orange package, which includes the ESPN channels, has an otherwise stripped-down menu.
Sling Blue doesnt offer ESPN channels, but it offers more channel options for the same price. Instead of ESPN, youre able to get channels such as FOX News, MSNBC, Discovery, Bravo and your local NBC or FOX affiliates.
For an additional $15 per month, you can skip the comparison between Orange and Blue. Sling Orange + Blue is $50 per month and offers all of the channels from both $35 packages.
When looking at the channel menu below, you may notice that only NBC and FOX affiliates are offered with the Blue and Orange + Blue packages. That means youre completely out of luck if you want to watch your local ABC and CBS channels with Sling.
If youre looking for access to local channels, we have some ideas that wont break the bank.

Any Other Blackouts Or Restrictions To Keep In Mind
Our favorite budget streaming stick
Sling TV does warn that some games may be blacked out by the leagues due to rights restrictions. NHL Playoff games, for instance, were blacked out on Fox Sports channels last year, because Fox did not own streaming rights for those games.
Last year, the NFL Network had its own caveat: Thursday Night Football games were blacked out whenever they also aired on NBC or CBS. Sling Blue subscribers who received NBCs local feed can watch those games, but everyone else had to watch . This year, Amazon bought the streaming rights to Thursday Night Football, and will show the games to Prime subscribers at no extra charge. Well have to see whether a similar limitation applies.
Airtv 2 And Airtv Mini
Sling TV also sells hardware products that can complement your service. The AirTV 2 is a $99.99 set-top box that connects to an over-the-air antenna. You can then use it to stream all the local over-the-air channels to your Sling TV screen. Unfortunately, this will not work if you use Sling TV on your Xbox Series S/X console, your PC, your Apple TV box, or your Samsung or LG smart TVs. You can also buy it on Amazon.
The AirTV Mini is basically an Android TV-based dongle for $79.99. However, when connecting it to your TV, its interface includes full integration with the Sling TV service. Its also available at Amazon.

At the beginning of 2020, Sling TV had more than 2.5 million subscribers.
Sling TV offers a user-friendly navigation experience, with an uncluttered menu, giving you the choice of accessing My TV,On Now Guide, or Sports.
The Apple TV interface is the preferred option for most users, providing the cleanest menu versions.
The service on Roku is known to work well too it appears slightly more cluttered than the Apple TV version, but you get options for On Demand and Rent.
The navigation is responsive and fast, with quick and effective searches on your favourite content.
Sling upgraded the cloud DVR service, allowing the recording of channels, a feature that wasnt always available for all content on the platform.
However, its important to note that the live TV pause feature doesnt work on the ESPN and Disney channels.
Sling TV Premium Channels
Sling also allows you to subscribe to premium channels, like Showtime , which includes eight total Showtime channels. The six Starz channels cost $9 per month. EPIX’s 4 channels cost $5 per month.

How Much Does Sling TV Cost
Sling TV has a somewhat confusing pricing tier.
However, once you understand how it works, its easy to customize your service to include all your favourite shows, movies, and live events.
Sling TV offers you an Orange and Blue tier subscription. However, both cost $30, so it might not seem very clear initially.
You get a $10 discount for your first month as an introductory bonus when signing up for the service.
The Orange and Blue packages have plenty of overlapping titles and content.
However, there are niche offerings in each, and youll need to check the subscription to see which channels you prefer.
Sling TV also gives you the option of selecting both the Orange and Blue services for a combination subscription costing you $45 per month with a $10 discount for your introductory offer in the first month.
