The Fresh Prince Of Bel
The Banks and their Philadelphia-born nephew Will Smith weren’t the first Black family on a successful TV sitcom with international success. The Cosby Show reigned first with eight seasons, running from 1984 to 1992, before Bill Cosby’s sex crimes came to light.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air started airing in 1990 and was loosely based on Smith’s life. The six-season sitcom jump-started Smith’s career. But other than making the protagonist a movie star, the show also highlighted the life of a wealthy, stable and college-educated Black family, widening the scope of how Black characters were represented on TV.
And even though it was a sitcom, the show also tackled serious topics like Police profiling Will and Carlton get pulled over by the Police while driving a Mercedes Benz drug use, gun violence, date rape, HIV, racism and other issues.

As Jenji Kohan’s show progressed, it stopped focusing on Piper and opened the scope to an incredibly diverse ensemble cast of women. The show, which aired for seven seasons on Netflix from 2013 to 2019, became a refreshing blend of tales from all the women who made it.
In later seasons, the series also commented on the for-profit prison system and immigration. But its inclusion of women of all ages, races and backgrounds is what made it stand out in the first place. Samsung has streamlined their wireless screen sharing options by making their smart TVs compatible with some Samsung phones and tablets. To begin screen mirroring, simply select screen mirroring on your TV under the sources menu. Connecting Phone To TV Using Usb Slimport
If you have an older phone, you might connect your phone to a TV with a SlimPort cable. While similar to MHL, SlimPort offers different outputs, but uses the micro-USB connection.
Whereas MHL is limited to HDMI, SlimPort outputs to HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, and VGA. This makes it better suited to a variety of displays, including older monitors and TVs with no digital inputs.
Unlike MHL, SlimPort does not draw power from mobile devices.
You’ll need the following to connect a phone to your TV using a SlimPort adapter:
- A micro-USB SlimPort cable or adapter
- Appropriate video cable for your display
Begin by plugging the SlimPort adapter into your phone. Then, attach the SlimPort adapter to your display using the proper cable. You should then be able to view your phone’s screen on a TV. Like MHL, it’s plug-and-play.

Of course, you also might want to show off your mobile gaming skills on the big screen. For this, some smart TVs from major manufacturers like Sony and Samsung offer screen mirroring, allowing you to display the content on the big screen. Samsung phones specifically have an option called Smart View which automatically searches for nearby screen mirroring and Chromecast devices.
Using Bluetooth to connect your phone to your smart TV is also an option, but only for streaming audio. Of course, that can come in handy if you are using a service like Spotify and want to play the music on a TV that’s hooked up to a powerful sound system.

Samsung Connect To Windows 10 Via Microsoft Account
Linking your Samsung phone to Windows 10 is also possible via Microsoft account. You are hence able to seamlessly transfer articles from your Samsung Galaxy to PC. You can start a task on your Samsung Galaxy and continue to complete it on your Windows 10 once you linked your phone to PC.
Here’s how:
Step 1. Sign into your Microsoft account.
Tap on “Settings” on your Windows 10. Entering the “Windows Settings” interface, you can see the “Phone” option. Click it and you will be taken to a screen named “Your Phone”. You will be prompted to log in your Microsoft account at first. If you didn’t have an account, you need to create one.
Step 2. Add a phone.
Tap on the option to add your phone as the prompts. Then you need to fill your phone number into the blank. Next, tap on “Send” and you will be told to receive a link by a text message on your Samsung phone.
Step 3. Install Microsoft Edge on your Samsung phone.
Actually, in order to make a connection between your Samsung phone and Windows 10, you are required to install another app called Microsoft Edge in the text message firstly. Just click the app link to install it on your Samsung Galaxy.
Step 4. Log in the Edge using your Microsoft account.

Connect To Your Hdtv Using Slimport
SlimPort is a new technology designed for all sorts of devices from smartphones to tablets to cameras. It uses the same basic technology as DisplayPort to pass audio and video to a television or monitor. It has growing support that includes devices like the LG V20, Acer Chromebook R13, HTC 10, LG G Pad II and Amazon Fire HD tablets. SlimPort operates much the same as MHL. You will need a SlimPort adapter that costs between $15 and $40 and you will need an HDMI cable. After you buy the adapter and cable, setup is straightforward.

Localcast is a great free Chromecast app to use on your Android if you have files scattered throughout different folders on your phone. This app lets you store photos, movies, or music inside your Localcast library, or tap the Folder icon in the menu to search for media files stored anywhere on your phone.

Connect Your Android Device With Roku Or Other Wireless Solutions
Chromecast isn’t the only game in town when it comes to wireless, although it may be the cheapest and easiest solution. The Roku 2 and newer boxes by Roku support casting. You can find the screen-mirroring option in the settings of the Roku.
On the Android device, open the Android’s Settings app, go to Display and choose Cast to see available options for casting the screen. Both devices must be on the same network.
A few brands like the Belkin Miracast Video Adapter and the ScreenBeam Mini2 also support casting your mobile screen to your TV.
