Before you mirror the screen of your Fire tablet, make sure your TV or media streaming device is turned on and discoverable. “Discoverable” means that your Fire tablet can identify and connect to your device wirelessly. If you’re not sure how to make your TV or media streaming device discoverable, refer to the user guide that came with the device.
Note: If your TV or media streaming device is not compatible, you may be able to use an HDMI display dongle, which is an HDMI adapter you connect to your TV or media streaming device. An HDMI dongle allows you to wirelessly display content from your Fire tablet to your TV or media streaming device.

Disable Video And Audio Autoplay
You must have already seen the autoplaying videos on your Fire TV Stick named as Featured Content, and this banner starts automatically playing the banner video as soon as you pause a second longer. And to be honest, it can be a tad annoying.
Thankfully, there’s a way to switch it off.
To do so, head over to the Settings tab at the menu bar, and click on Preferences. Once in, scroll down to Featured Content and disable both the audio and video options.
For now, Fire TV Stick lets you mute the volume and the audio.

Troubleshoot Screen Mirror Not Working On Fire TV
If you have compatible devices and yet you arent able to mirror an Android phone to Fire TV Stick, you should change your Wi-Fi frequency band . The setting will be present on your phone under Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi frequency band. Switch it to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Newer Android devices seem to have disabled the setting. If thats the case, you will have to change the band from your router settings.
Thanks to restrictions put by Google, stock Android devices do not let you mirror your phone to TV except with Googles Chromecast device. However, you can cast your content to Fire TV Stick using third-party apps on such devices.

To Connect Phone To Fire TV
When you have compatible Android and Fire TV devices with you, connect them to the same Wi-Fi network to mirror content. Once thats done, you need to enable mirroring on Fire TV first followed by connecting your phone. Here are the steps for both of them.
Enable Mirroring on Fire TV
Step 1: On your Fire TV, go to Settings followed by Display & Sounds.
Step 2: Select Enable Display Mirroring.
Step 3: Your Fire TV will go into the search mode and will start looking for nearby devices.
Alternatively, press and hold the home button on your Fire TV remote until you see the options. Select the Mirroring option. That lets you quickly enable mirroring on Fire TV.
Connect Your Phone to Fire TV
The Miracast feature on Android devices differs in terms of naming and location. When the Fire TV is in the search mode, you need to enable the feature on your phone to connect them.
On MIUI running devices, you will find the Wireless display feature. To enable it, you need to go to Settings > More > Wireless display. Turn the toggle on for Wireless display. Once you do that, your Fire TVs name should appear. Tap on it to begin mirroring on your TV.
On some devices such as OnePlus, go to Settings > Bluetooth & device connection > Connection preferences > Cast. Tap on the three-dot icon and turn on Enable wireless display. Your Fire TV will appear. Tap on it to connect.

Your Fire TV should be able to support it. You can enable AirPlay by opening the app and enabling your device as a receiver. You can choose your Fire TV from the AirPlay receiver list and start mirroring content from your iOS hardware. Connect the devices, then choose content from the AirPlay receiver list.
Confirm Your Fire TV Stick Is Detected In Windows 10
Assuming youve tried the first two steps above and your computer still isnt showing your Firestick under the Connect function, there may be a more significant problem. First, youll want to see if its detecting any other devices. If it is, its likely not a hardware issue meaning the problem is with the Firestick, or its with your computers software.
Check for software updates in Windows 10 by using the Win+I keyboard shortcut. If an update is available, select it, and follow the prompts to bring your system current.
