What Devices Can Stream Apple TV Plus
Apple’s programming is available on all its devices with the Apple TV app.
Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston revealed the name of their Apple TV Plus series, The Morning Show, at an Apple’s event.
In addition, Apple TV Plus is available on some competitors’ devices. Apple’s TV app is available on Roku and Fire TV, two of the most widely used streaming devices in the US, and for smart TVs from Samsung and LG. You can watch it on Sony and Vizio smart TVs via AirPlay, and the TV app should be available for those smart TVs now.
Apple widened support for Apple TV Plus to game consoles in the fall. In October, Sony said its Playstation 5 would support Apple TV Plus at launch. A couple of weeks later, Microsoft said Apple TV Plus would be supported on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Subscribers will also be able to watch Apple TV Plus on the web at tv.apple.com.
But the Apple TV app isn’t available on any mobile devices except iPhones or iPads. That means Apple TV Plus subscribers with non-Apple phones — meaning, the huge population of people with Android phones — need to stream to their mobiles via the web, rather than in an app.

When Apple announced that new device purchases would come with a free year of Apple TV+ many wondered if that was just for a single user. But it isn’t, and Apple says you can use your free year across an entire family thanks to Family Sharing. But don’t get excited you can’t stack those free years.
Apple’s newly updated “About Apple TV+” support page confirms that users will get a free year of Apple TV+ if they buy an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV. And it also confirms that Family Sharing is supported, too. So that got us wondering can one person buy an iPhone and get a free year, and then have someone else in the family do the same a year later? Would they effectively never pay for Apple TV+?
The answer to that is a resounding “NO” from Apple.

Apple says the new iPhones sport longer battery life than the iPhone 12 lineup. The extended battery life results from a combination of a bigger battery, iOS 15 and the A15 Bionic chip, according to Apple.

If You Could Only Pick One Which Streaming Service Would You Choose
Apple has always kept user numbers close to the chest, so its difficult to tell just how successful Apple TV Plus has been with everyday users. Complicating matters further, most current Apple TV Plus subscribers are still on their free year. This means that subscriber numbers could tank when the first wave of free trials expires.

Most users commented that the library was simply too small, although it might fare better as a second or third subscription for those who cant get enough content.

Apple TV Plus spiked when it was first announced, then again when the service launched. Tech company Apple has expanded to include its own original content, all on its Apple TV Plus streaming service.
Apple made sure that it was not going to be left out of the burgeoning streaming market when it launched its own streaming platform, Apple TV Plus. With it, the tech company best known for creating the iPhone and computers entered the TV and movie development and distribution game.
While Netflix, Hulu and have long been offering content that subscribers can stream, the streaming revolution has really taken off in the last handful of years with the emergence of streaming platforms like Disney Plus, HBO Max, Peacock and Apple TV Plus.
Unlike most of its competitors, Apple TV Plus does not have a library of classic TV shows and movies included as part of its streaming subscription, rather focusing entirely on original TV shows and movies, with Apple saying that new content ranging from dramas to kid series to documentaries and more becomes available on the service every month.

How Do I Cancel Apple TV Plus
The simplest way for you to cancel Apple TV Plus, regardless of how you signed up or what device you’re using, is to sign in with your account’s Apple ID at tv.apple.com. Click or tap the small circular account icon in the upper right corner and select Settings. Then scroll down to Subscriptions and, finally, tap the link to Manage. From there, you can choose to cancel your subscription.

What Can You Watch For Free On Apple TV+
Apple has made nine series and movies completely free to watch. These are:
- The Elephant Queen – a documentary about a family of elephants as they travel across the African savannah. Narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor
- Little America – comedy drama focusing on immigrants who have settled in America
- Servant – psychological thriller about a couple who experience a tragic event, only for a mysterious force to enter their home

- Helpsters – kids’ puppet show from the creators of Sesame Street

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Apple’s flagship shows See and The Morning Show aren’t included. It still wants you to subscribe to its £4.99/$4.99-per-month service, natch! You can, however, watch those for free by signing up to the Apple TV+ seven-day free trial.
Right Now The TV App Isnt That Great
As useful as the TV app could be, in its current form its somewhat reminiscent of the now-extinct Game Center app: it just doesnt seem like Apple thought it all through completely. It feels unfinished and sparse, and most content providers are still doing their own thing.
First, there are the TV channel apps, which should be an integral part of the TV experience. Because channel apps are separate and need to be downloaded from the App Store first, you end up with are a lot of individual apps taking up space on your iPhone or iPad.
On the Apple TV, this is finethese channel apps are one of its primary purpose, and they work pretty well. But on an iPhone or iPad, its clunky and cluttered. Worst of all, you cant access all or even most of your downloaded apps from the TV app. Instead, you have to open the individual app from your home screen.
Furthermore, channel apps that do work with the TV app arent exactly numerous , numbering among a handful out of all that are available.
Then theres the Watch Now feature. Using Watch Now is unsatisfying and doesnt have a coherent feel to it.
For example, if you want to connect a channel to TV, you first have to sign in with the channel, then quit the TV app and restart it. Only then will it recognize the newly signed-in app and allow you to connect it to the TV app, but you wont know until you actually download the channel app, sign in, and perform this ritual over and over, which gets old really quickly.

Price: iPhone 13 Line Matches The Cost Of Its Predecessor
The iPhone 13 lineup mostly mimics the pricing for the iPhone 12. Although Apple has since done away with the 64GB storage option for its standard and Mini options, the pricing of the iPhone 13 have stayed the same. The iPhone 13 Mini starts at $699 for 128GB of storage. The standard iPhone 13 starts at $799, the Pro starts at $999 and Pro Max at $1,099.
The prices for the Pro versions are similar to other high-end smartphone models like the Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra, which cost $1,000 and $1,200, respectively.
What Is On Apple TV Plus
Arguably the most important part of any streaming service is the content subscribers get for their money. As mentioned above, Apple did not have a library of classic titles that it could rely on to help build out its streaming service, but what it has done is spend big money on developing original content and acquiring titles that can serve as Apple TV Plus exclusives.
When the service launched in November 2019 there wasnt as much as other streaming platforms had to start with, but Apple TV Plus has grown since then, with a number of its shows and movies becoming big hits.

After a bit of a controversy with viewers complaining that the classic Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes would be removed from broadcast in favor or Apple TV Plus, the streaming service announced that in addition to offering the holiday specials to its subscribers, all of the holiday classics would air once on PBS around their respective holidays as well as be available for free to all interested viewers for a limited time on Apple TV.
