Holby City 23 Seasons
In huge news, the end is nigh for Holby City.
“We are incredibly proud of Holby City but it’s with great sadness that we are announcing that after 23 years, the show will end on screen in March of next year,” said the BBC in a statement.
“We sometimes have to make difficult decisions to make room for new opportunities and as part of the BBC’s commitment to make more programmes across the UK, we have taken the difficult decision to bring the show to a close in order to reshape the BBC’s drama slate to better reflect, represent and serve all parts of the country.”

I Am Not Okay With This
Although the show received a warm reception, co-creator Jonathan Entwistle opened up about the variety of reasons that it wasn’t picked up for season two. Chatting to NME about how the pandemic affected the show’s future, he explained: “Netflix was basically saying were paying large groups of filmmakers and actors to remain doing nothing. We were locked into I Am Not Okay With This and it looked like it was never going to shoot.
“I think that one of the problems we faced with I Am Not Okay With This is that in many ways I considered it to be a smaller, niche show and they considered it to be a replacement for Stranger Things. I do think when they were looking at all the finances, the show was more expensive than they figured it was worth doing.”

Mystery Science Theatre 3000
Mystery Science Theatre 3000 was cancelled after just two series. The series, which follows a host and his robot friends as they watch a different film in every episode, had a dedicated cult following. The show’s star Jonah Ray Rodriguez took to Twitter to announce that it wouldn’t be returning to Netflix. Referencing the other shows that Netflix has cancelled, he wrote: “So, Netflix decided to not do another season of MST3K. We are off to Get Down in Lilyhammer while the OA helps us take it One Day at a Time. We will be in group therapy with Tuca & Bertie, Jessica Jones, & Lady Dynamite. The sessions will be run by Gypsy .”

Killing Eve: Season Four Bbc America Teases The Final Episodes
Killing Eve is returning this month for its fourth and final season, and BBC America has shared teaser videos for the final batch of episodes. Starring Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, Kim Bodnia, Sean Delaney, Owen McDonnell, Dame Harriet Walter, Danny Sapani, Gemma Whelan, Camille Cottin, Steve Pemberton, Raj Bajaj, Turlough Convery, Pedja Bjelac, and Evgenia Dodina, the spy thriller follows a spy and an assassin who are obsessed with each other.
Executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle said the following about the upcoming season of the BBC America series, per Digital Spy:
Eve and Villanelle, having left each other in total turmoil on Tower Bridge at the end of season 3, are thrown into season 4 trying to figure out what they mean to each other and what their lives now stand for. And while Carolyn has shot a man in cold blood, she is trying to find out who is responsible for the hit on her son. This one is going to be a lot more personal and passionate than the seasons before.

Wynonna Earp Four Seasons
The second half of Wynonna Earp‘s fourth season, which hit Syfy in the States on March 5, is its last hoorah.
Melanie Scrofano, who plays the titular demon hunter, wrote on : “I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished over these four seasons and so excited to get to watch the second half of season 4 together. There will be tears but there will also be laughs. And crop tops. And family.”
But it sounds like there could be more stories from this world coming our way in the future.
“I have been honoured to tell Wynonna and her family’s story, and along with Seven24, Cineflix and CTV Sci-Fi, are hopeful we can continue to share their inspiring tales in the future,” said showrunner Emily Andras .

The Republic Of Sarah
This one-season-and-done CW series packed a lot of premise into its 13 episodes: “The Republic of Sarah” concerned a New Hampshire city that, through a series of events, becomes its own country a country led by a high-school teacher named Sarah .
The show premiered in June 2021 and was done by September 2021.
Star Trek Also Passed On A Spock Spin
There was a show proposed that would have had Mr. Spock living on Vulcan, but the idea was nixed by Gene Roddenberry. Considering the popularity of Leonary Nimoys Spock at the time, one has to wonder why this proposal was passed over. Perhaps it was the premise of Spock living on Vulcan surrounded by other Vulcans instead of humans. With Vulcans not showing emotion, it might have been a bit dry, but a spin-off series with Spock would have been popular if the premise was reworked.
These are just some of the undeveloped shows shared in this video, many of which could still make for some interesting series. A Federation starship with a Vulcan captain? Thats one Id like to see. But while these series didnt make the cut, there are always new ideas perculating in the brain trust behind the franchise. And its always possible that one or more of these ideas could be revisited in the future.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Black Lightning” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” were among the TV series and streaming shows that dropped their final new episodes in 2021.
Here’s a roundup of some of the biggest titles from ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, Netflix and more that audiences said goodbye to in the past year. Some of the shows were canceled, while others were voluntarily retired.
Canceled After One Episode
- Beware of Dog
- Animal Planet sitcom two episodes presented back-to-back for the only appearance of the series on U.S. television. The show featured Look Who’s Talking-style observations by a stray dog named Jack who was adopted by a suburban family.
- Anchorwoman
- Fox comedy/reality series about Lauren Jones, a model who became a television news anchor. The show was canceled on August 23 because of a disappointing 2.0 Fast National rating however, its premiere was one hour, consisting of two 30-minute episodes.
- The Bussey Bunch
- TLC reality show about the Busseys, a family that promotes a local professional wrestling federation in Texas. The series was pulled following its premiere showing, with a scheduled showing on January 29 also pulled.

The Irregulars One Season
YA Sherlock Holmes drama The Irregulars, which follows a group of teens who solve Sherlock and Dr Watson’s mysterious crimes for them, has been canned by Netflix after just one outing.
The streamer didn’t explain the decision behind the axing, but it’s a given that the show didn’t perform as well as the company would have liked. Netflix has cited financial strain imposed by the pandemic in the past following other cancellations, which could have been a contributing factor.
Everything’s Gonna Be Okay
One of my crucial comfort shows during my darkest days in this pandemic was this deeply quirky dramedy series created by and starring Josh Thomas. The Australian comedian plays a fish-out-of-water twenty-something, who is abruptly saddled with major responsibilities. While visiting his teen half-sisters in America, Nicolas learns their shared father is terminally ill. Just like that, Nicolas goes from prepping for his flight back home to agreeing to be the guardian to two sisters he barely knows. One is an oft frantic 14-year-old the other is a chipper 17-year-old with autism and dreams of studying music in New York City. Together, they along with Nicolas’s new boyfriend form a motley family, who grieves and thrives together.
Like Thomas’s previous Australian series Please Like Me, there’s a beautiful fragility to Everything’s Gonna Be Okay. The characters are funny, but also achingly relatable in their awkwardness, earnestness, and agonies. So, we laugh, cringe, and feel the cathartic release of recognizing ourselves in these loveable oddballs. Through warm writing and fearless humor, we were made part of the family. And when I was isolating, it was an absolute miracle to feel welcomed into this broken but wonderful home. K.P.

The Twilight Zone Two Seasons
Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot will not be back for a third season.
Monkeypaw & Genre Films, the production company behind it, said in a statement : “We greatly enjoyed our time working on The Twilight Zone particularly when the real world around us often felt more and more like another dimension.
“We cherished the opportunity to collaborate with so many talented writers, actors and crew members. After 20 unique episodes, we have told the stories that we wanted to tell, and CBS All Access was gracious in their understanding of our decision.
“It was an honour and a privilege to bring audiences a modern re-imagining of Rod Serling’s iconic creation.”
Cast members across the two seasons included Jurnee Smollett , Steven Yeun , Ginnifer Goodwin and Kumail Nanjiani , to name just a handful.
The series aired on Syfy and Sky One in the UK.

Good Girls Four Seasons
NBC comedy-drama Good Girls, which revolves around three friends who become mixed-up in a life of crime to give their bank balances a much-needed boost, made it to season four before it was axed.
The series had experienced a ratings decline season two’s viewer average was 2.3 million, with season four dropping to 1.5 million so far.
The network and the studio were looking at bringing the series back for one more season to “close out the story, but they were unable to make the financials work”, according to Deadline. And Universal Television will not be taking it to market, so it really is the end of the road for Good Girls.
