A few months ago, I bought a Samsung TV with built-in Alexa. I was very happy with the convenience it offered.
However, a few days ago, the TV stopped responding to Alexa. I was not sure what was the issue.
I restarted the TV and checked all the settings, nothing seemed wrong.
That is when I started looking for solutions online and found a couple of solutions to my problem.
If Alexa cant Turn on Samsung TV, check that its connection with SmartThings is properly established. All your devices should be on the same network and your internet should be working fine.
In addition to these fixes, I have also mentioned a few other things you should keep in mind while using Alexa with your Samsung TV.
How Do I Pair My Echo To My TV
You can enable Bluetooth on your TV, move your Echo Dot near the TV, and say Alexa, connect. In the Bluetooth settings on your TV, select your Echo Dot and then click OK.. Your Echo Dot will play the audio from your TV. Tap the TV or video service you want to connect Alexa to in the Alexa app under More > Settings > TV & Video.

Connecting Samsung TV To Smartthings Hub
Start your Samsung Smart TV with the help of your Samsung TV remotes power button.
Click the Menu button on your remote to navigate to the Menu.
From the list of menus displayed, click the Smart Hub option.
Now, choose Samsung Account and complete the Sign-in process.
Go to the SmartThings app on your smartphone.
At the bottom center of the screen, youll see the Device Menu.
Click on the Device menu and select Add Device option.
Browse for your Samsung TV. If available, click on it to connect your Samsung Smart TV to SmartThings Hub.

Hello, Im in the UK and trying to connect Amazon Alexa to my TV and wondered if anyone can help, or at least confirm if the following is correct. Previous research has found a Samsung SmartThings hub is necessary, I purchased one and have connected Alexa to it. After you have set up your Samsung smart TV, ensure that it is connected to the Wi-Fi
Press the Home button on your TV remote and navigate to the Alexa app . Alternatively, you can also select Alexa as your smart TVs voice assistant when you are performing the initial setup
Next, you must sign in to your Amazon account. You can do this either by visiting the Amazon website from any device or you can scan the provided QR code with your smartphone. You will be prompted to enter a six-digit authentication code, which will be seen on your smart TV screen
After you have provided your login details and password, review the privacy permissions and then click on Allow
Users have the option to select between using their Samsung smart TV remote to listen for Alexa wake word with or without having to press the microphone button. You will be prompted to Click to Enable or Not Now. Your remotes microphone will always stay activated if you choose Enable and to have the microphone on. With this setting, you just need to wake Alexa and then give your command. With the microphone turned off by selecting Not Now, you will have to hold the microphone button and then use the Alexa commands.
