How Screen Mirroring For Android TV Works
We love to assist you getting started to mirror your phone or tablet to an Android TV. Consult the below questions and answers to get a better understanding about our app and its useful features.
What is the Mirror for Chromecast or Android TV app for iOS?
The Mirror for Chromecast or Android TV app for iPhone and iPad is a unique application that mirrors the screen and audio of your iPhone or iPad to any Android TV device. Because many producers of Smart TVs, Set Top Boxes and Consoles are using Android TV as Operating System , all of those devices work with our app.
With AirBeamTVs Screen Mirroring app, no additional hardware is needed and you can wirelessly cast videos, photos and apps from your phone or tablet to your television. And dont worry about your privacy: the app will not record your screen or store your files on a server. Data is only stored temporary on your device and will be removed after mirroring.
How do I install the Android TV Screen Mirroring app on my iPhone?
First you have to download our free Mirror for Chromecast or Android TV app on the App Store. Once installed, please make sure that your iPhone is on the same local network or WiFi as your Android TV device. In case our app does not recognize your device automatically, also make sure the Chromecast built-in or Google Cast Receiver app is not disabled in Android TV.
After you have installed the app on your phone, follow the steps as explained on the Easy Installation Guide.
View Call & Text Messages
You can have access to your childs call logs for their incoming and outgoing calls. Its important that our children have phones in the modern-day, but we need to know who is calling our children and when they are being called without having access to their phones. We can also monitor our childs messages so they are having the right communication. In the modern world, text messaging involves sexting, bullying, and other inappropriate texts. We need to make sure our children are protected in the right ways.
Use Chromecast To Stream With iPad Or iPhone
Apple isn’t the only company that offers a streaming device for iPhone and iPad. There’s also the Chromecast from Google that’s similar but works wirelessly.
Chromecast works much differently than the adapter in that not everything on the screen can be streamed to the TV. Streaming is app-specific, meaning that you must have an app that supports Chromecast to see the content on the TV.
While there are lots of apps that support Chromecast, you’re limited in that you can’t stream your iPad or iPhone home screen, nor can you open just any app and stream the whole thing to your TV. You need extra software to make AirPlay work with Chromecast.
Make sure the Chromecast and iOS device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
This is the easiest way to connect them together, though there are ways to use Chromecast without Wi-Fi.
Open a Chromecast-compatible app.
Select the cast button .
If asked, select the correct Chromecast from the list that you want to stream your iPad or iPhone to.

Itunes And App Store Purchases
If you wish to restrict purchases on your childs device, select the iTunes & App Store Purchases menu option. Under the purchases heading you can limit your childs ability to install new apps, delete apps, or make in-app purchases.
If you do not wish to restrict access to installing or removing apps and purchase abilities, you can opt to password-protect them by requiring a password to continue. This is a good option for parents who wish to monitor activity rather than completely restrict it.

Screen Time Family Link Vs Freetime: Extend Time
If you want to extend the time limit after its been reached, your child will need to get in touch with you somehow. On your childs Amazon device, they need you to enter the master PIN. On Family Link, theyll need to enter a one-time expiring access code that parents can find in the sidebar of the Family Link app on their phone.
Apple, on the other hand, lets kids send a message to their parents requesting additional time. If they tap the Ask for more time button, theyll send a message to their parents that will appear as a notification. Tap it and you can extend their session by 15 minutes, an hour, all day, or decline their request.

Information About Device Usage
Under the Screen Time menu, youll find a usage report for the iOS device youre on, giving a total amount of screen time used, broken into categorical usage. Tapping on the Screen Time usage report will bring up more detailed information by day or for the last seven days.
The Screen Time area will show you how much time your child has spent on their device in the following areas: Social Networking, Reading & Reference, Productivity, Entertainment, Creativity, Health & Fitness, and Games. Tapping on any of the categories will show a further breakdown of usage with specific apps under that heading.
The information in the screen time area is almost eerie with its reports, showing users how often they pick up their device in a day, in addition to the number of notifications they receive per day. As a parent, you can see how often your child is checking their phone and how often theyre getting called to their device for a notification .

How To Use And Override Screen Time
Once you’ve set it up, there’s not much for you to do to use Screen Time. It will go on as scheduled and block or allow categories of apps based on your settings. It will also give you a five-minute warning before Downtime comes on or when you reach your daily app limit.
If you really need to use your device, you can temporarily override Screen Time. Screen Time doesn’t prevent you from unlocking your device or launching an app. Instead, it prompts you to improve your time management skills and willpower.
When you launch a blocked app, a screen appears letting you know it’s blocked. Tap Ignore Limit to override it. Screen Time gives you another chance to make the right choice. It offers an option to Remind Me in 15 Minutes so that you can delay using the app a little longer, Ignore Limit for Today to use the app right now, or Cancel to go back to not using your device or the app.

Now You Can Block Specific Contacts
With the update, you can now block unknown contacts, so kids can only be reached by people already in their address books. But during their restricted time, called Downtime say, during school hours, or after bedtime you can open it just to parents, grandparents, or siblings. That way, theyre not up texting under the covers when theyre supposed to be sleeping, but theyre still able to get a call from a parent on a business trip, for example, or text a grandparent in a different time zone to say happy birthday.
Adding A New Password Or Touch Id
Kids who know the password for a device can add a fingerprint in the Password & Touch ID section in settings. If you ever share your password with your kids or they catch it with a screen recording, they can go into Settings Password & Touch ID and can add a new fingerprint then and there. After that, they can easily disable or unlock the iOS device and adjust Screen Time settings according to their wish. To prevent this from happening, add a password for Screen Time and NEVER share this master password with your kids.
While parents could beat these hacks with some time and effort, theres nothing stopping motivated teens from figuring out a new way to bypass Screen Time restrictions or other Apple parental controls! Here’s an example of a young boy showing how he can open almost any iPad without a passcode:
