Apple TV Plus is associated with Apple ID, which is the same log-in you’d use for iCloud or downloading apps from its App Store. If you don’t already have an Apple ID, you can create one here.
If you already have Apple’s TV app on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, you simply need to open the app and navigate to any of the places where Apple is prominently promoting its original shows. On newly purchased iPhones, for example, the app already knows you’ve purchased a new gadget to qualify for the deal. Yes. Early on, Apple announced that all shows would be available in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision and that most shows would have Dolby Atmos sound, but it didnt say just how good it would be. According to FlatplanelsHDs Rasmus Larsen, Apple TV+ offers the best 4K streaming quality of any service on the market. Its so good, in fact, that the 4K bitrates are better than what youll see in some iTunes movies.
When Larsen wrote his post in November of 2019, See had the highest bitrate of any Apple TV+ show, with an average bitrate of 29Mbps and a peak of 41Mbps. Snoopy in Space averaged 13Mbps, which is impressive for a cartoon. Netflixs 4K bitrates, by comparison, tend to peak at 16Mbps.

What If I Already Subscribe To One Of These Services
If you subscribe to any of these services, you wont be able to use your current subscription as a Channel in the TV app. Most of the native apps integrate with the TV app, so youll see content in the Watch Now tab, and your shows and movies will appear in Up Next. But youll have to have the appropriate app installed, and will be automatically kicked over to it to play content. If you subscribe through an in-app purchase, youll be billed by Apple, but if you sign up on the web youll be billed by that content provider. In either case, you may or may not be able to make use of Family Sharing.
To get playback directly within the TV app, Family Sharing, and billing from Apple, youll need to cancel your existing subscription and re-subscribe through the TV apps Channels section. You will then need to use the TV app to play back content.

Once youre subscribed to Channel, youll see shows and movies recommended directly in your Watch Now tab.
As you scroll down in the Watch Now tab, youll also see a horizontal list of Channels represented as circular icons. Select one and youll see everything available on that Channel .
You play back shows from Channels directly in the TV app, instead of being kicked out to the services own app.
Select a show, and youll see an info card showing seasons, episodes, cast and crew, and more, along with a prominent Play button. On Apple TV, you might see a different format, something like Play first episode and another button for Add to Up Next.
