Newer TVs have screen mirroring software built in. You will usually need to head into your network menu to enable it. You may also see ‘wi-fi direct’ in the same menu. This software enables file-sharing between devices without the need for an internet connection. It’s worth turning this on too, as it’s another potential way of getting what’s on your phone on to your TV.
Your phone will also need screen mirroring capabilities. Different manufacturers have different names for it. Typically, you’ll find screen mirroring in the quick access menu or in the network settings of your device.

On the iOS side, syncing is built in, though you do need to run iTunes. You have to sync your contacts and calendar on a per-device level, so if you have both an iPad and iPhone, youll need to set them up individually.

Connect Using Chromecast Built
TVs with Chromecast built-in allow you to cast from your mobile device to the TV. Chromecast built-in is available on Philips, Polaroid, Sharp, Skyworth, Soniq, Sony, Toshiba, and Vizio TVs.
To cast from your Android mobile device:
On your mobile device, open the Netflix app and sign in.
In the upper or lower right corner of the screen, select Cast .
Select the device you want to watch your TV show or movie on.
Select a TV show or movie and press Play.
You can fast forward, rewind, pause, or change the audio or subtitle settings from your mobile device.
There’s An Easier Way But It Depends On Your Phone
Using the Home app isn’t a lot of work, but there’s an even easier way: Use the Casting shortcut in the quick settings panel. Access the quick settings panel by swiping down from the top of your Android phone or tablet’s display. There should be an option labeled Screen cast — if you can’t find it, you may have to tap on the pencil icon to edit what is and isn’t available in your quick settings panel.
Once you find the Screen cast button, select it and then pick the device you want to mirror your display on from the list. It can take a few seconds for your phone to connect to the Chromecast-enabled device, but once it does, your screen will show up on your TV. Stop casting by repeating the same steps we just outlined.

How To Add Personal Media To Itunes
If you want to enjoy your non-iTunes-purchased music, videos, books, or photos on your device, you must first make sure to import that content into iTunes on your computer.
To add an external media file to iTunes, simply drag it to the applications Dock icon on your computer. Alternatively, with iTunes open, choose File > Add to Library and select the files.
When it comes to your photographs, iTunes sources images from either iPhoto, Aperture, a folder on your hard drive, or Photoshop Elements 3 or later. To sync your images with your device, youll either need them to be in one of these programs or youll need to create a folder for them.

If you have an internet-enabled TV, it probably supports DLNA, a generic form of media streaming available on many different manufacturers’ products. With the right app, you can stream unprotected music and video filesin other words, home movies, personal recordings, and anything not protected by Digital Rights Management on your iPhone or iPad. Media purchased through the iTunes Store won’t work with these apps.
However, when it comes to DLNA, you’re not limited to your iOS device. Some apps will look at media stored on other devices, like your PC, and act as a go-between to set up streaming from PC to TV, for example. Devices you can stream to include TVs, game consoles, and PCs. You don’t have to convert any videos or install special codecs to make it work.
If your TV doesn’t show up when trying to use an app, you may need to activate its DLNA function. Go to the TV’s internet connection menu and look for an option to stream from a PC or home server. That’s DLNA.
