The trick is to wait a few seconds for the toggle to work. It delays, so does not seem to be working.

My older Samsung TV can scroll through the tv input list, but can’t select “ok” and the input list stayed on the screen. What I found worked was waiting until the tv actually switched the input, then hit the volume up or down. That gets you out of the input menu. You’re welcome 🙂

I have a 22-inch Westinguse LD2240 television. I recently lost the remote and it works on the TV. I have a sync XBOX that I would like to run from time to time, but I can’t switch to the AV function because I don’t have a remote.

I played with my 40 for a while and found that I could open the source menu as soon as the source was turned on, toggle the modes with the channel up / form, but OK everything is volume +. It may have changed the font. You need a firmware update because it’s * not * intuitive. YMMV
I bought a universal remote control which is cheap and works well with TV.
Two volume controls at the same time let me select the input channel. It doesn’t work well for anything else. It only works with the TV, not the remote.

Possible Problems When Setting With Buttons
Keep in mind that it is not hard controlling the TV using the keys. Most people are not used to this option of switching programs. But sometimes the following difficulties are encountered:
- Scrolling through settings. Especially when manually searching for channels. It takes a long time to search for the desired frequency and without remote control, more time is spent.

When you press on Restore Default, what itll do is reset your television to the default settings or the settings it had when you purchased it.
It will turn off and turn on by itself you just have to wait for a full minute.
After that, youre all set! Youve successfully reinitialized your system!

Hi, all the buttons on my tv don’t work and only the power button on the remote. Is there any way to fix this?
First leave the unit unplugged from the AC outlet for about 10 minutes. Plug it back and try if the buttons will work this time. I also suspect that your TV set is in a LOCK state. Some TV brands have this feature to LOCK CHANNELS, Front TV buttons and remote control command. Please check the model number and include it in your next post.
There is an option to lock the buttons on the TV’s front panel.
2. Press Left or Right arrow button to select Parental Control, press ENTER.
3. It will ask for a 4-digit code. The default is ‘0000’ that is four zeros if you have not change it previously.4
4. Press Down and Up arrow buttons to highlight FRONT PANEL LOCK then ENTER.
5. Select unlock. Press ENTER. Press MENU to exit menu.
The menu button on the remote does not work nor does the one on the tv. When I turn on the tv, it is stuck on the built in DVD input.
Locate the DVD EJECT button on the TV side panel. It is located on the TV’s right side.

press the power button on the remote control. Release the power button but hold the the EJECT button for 2 seconds more
The previous procedure may reset and release your TV stucked in DVD mode.
Could be a problem with the control circuit. I recommend you have it checked by a qualified service technician.
