In this modern twist on A Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Present picks one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits, per the description. However, this Christmas Eve, things are a little different when Clint Briggs , the Scrooge chosen this season, turns the tables on Present, making him reexamine his own past, present, and future.
The trailer opens with the two performing a tap dance routine before Ferrells character coerces Reynolds character into following him behind a mysterious door. From there, the rest of the teaser is an explosion of action, dancing, and each of the actors respective humor.
Alongside Ferrell and Reynolds, the movie also stars Octavia Spencer, Sunita Mani, Patrick Page, Joe Tippett, Marlow Barkley, and Jen Tullock and is directed by Sean Anders.
This isnt the first Christmas movie for the duo. Ferrell most famously starred as Buddy the Elf in Elf before going on to make Daddys Home 2, which was set around the holidays. As for Reynolds, he starred opposite Amy Smart in Just Friends. Essentially, we have high expectations for a musical comedy that brings both of these comedic staples together.
