“1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything” is an eight-episode docuseries that covers one year in music history. Full of rare archival footage, the show sets out to paint a full picture of the music scene in 1971, which is considered the first true year of the post-Beatles era.

From Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” to the rise of singer-songwriters like Carole King, Joni Mitchell, and Elton John, “1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything” uses different themes to connect many of the year’s classic albums. The show holds a rare “100% Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Year Earth Changed

Nature is healing. No, really — this isn’t about those ironic early 2020 memes of crocodiles floating on pool noodles or cats riding a baggage carousel. When humans abandoned cities, parks, oceans and plenty of other places during COVID lockdowns in 2020, all sorts of wild critters benefited. Narrated by the legendary David Attenborough, The Year Earth Changed shows that we owe it to whales, penguins, cheetahs and a whole host of other animals to interfere less with their lives.

How To Watch The Free Apple TV+ Shows

The TV app is the exclusive destination for Apple TV+, but the TV app is a little confusing because it blends together purchasable TV shows and movies from the iTunes Store, which you can buy or rent, the integration of content from other apps like Amazon Prime and Disney+, and Apple TV Channels.

The Watch Now screen does not really distinguish between content that you own and can watch, and just Apples general recommendations.

The easiest way to get started with Apple TV+ is to open the Apple TV app on your device, and tap on the Originals tab.

This tab takes you to the Apple TV+ channel page. This screen shows you all of the Apple TV+ shows and movies available to watch, separated into categories like comedy, drama and family fun.

Note that tv.apple.com is very stripped down compared to the native TV app on devices, and it only shows Apple original content. Both the website and the Mac TV app lack key features like the ability to skip intro or automatic next episode suggestions when you finish an episode.

The Tragedy Of Macbeth

SEE Official Trailer | Apple TV

Take it from me, someone who is no fan of the works of William Shakespeare, and never really got a grip on the way he writes: The Tragedy of Macbeth is a phenomenal film. Director, producer and writer Joel Coen brings an artfully minimalist look to The Scottish Play, though it’s Denzel Washington’s gripping performance as Lord Macbeth that makes the film emotionally powerful whether you can translate each line or not. Additional points are given for how this take on Macbeth shows an actually positive and loving relationship between the Lord and his Lady Macbeth . Henry T. Casey

You can now watch Black Bird in its entirety, so do it!

I really wanted to put the new Skydance Animation family feature Luck on our list of the best shows and movies to watch on Apple TV+, but the critics were right: It’s just not that noteworthy. However, if you have a kid or kids, especially ones who love cats, you’re going to watch it anyway, and you might like it just because it keeps them happy. Fair enough! Kids movies are exempt from most criticism because they serve a specific purpose, and that purpose is to keep kids stationary for two hours. We’re just not putting Luck up there with the likes of Moana and Toy Story. You want a kids movie on Apple TV+ that is worthy of this list? Check out Wolfwalkers it’s amazing for everyone.

Dickinson

Are There Any Good Series On Apple TV

Defending Jacob Review: A thrilling and enticing must

It is alright to be skeptical and judge if Apple TV+ is worth your time and money since it does not have the greatest TV shows like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon, and other streaming platforms. Still, Apples unique approach to host only original content is enough for it to stand out from the others. There are some great shows like Dickinson, Ted Lasso, See, Foundation, and more for you to watch. Meanwhile, we can expect more binge-worthy content coming soon on the platform. Currently, the comedy series and sci-fi genre are ruling the content on Apple TV+ with slightly better content finding its way in other genres like mystery and drama. When the nephew mysteriously dies, however, Grey and his new caretaker Robyn attempt to investigate the death with the help of a new procedure that allows Grey power over his jumbled memories.
