One great aspect of Family Sharing is that designated parents can create Apple IDs for kids under 13 in their family. With that Apple ID, a child can use their own account on their own device, make their own purchasing decisions, and more. However, integrated parental control features mean that parents can still set appropriate limits.
If you want to see and approve what the kids in your family download, you can set up a feature called Ask to Buy that prompts an adult in the group to approve or deny the purchase. By default, the family organizer will be labeled as the default parent for Ask to Buy but, if you’d like, you can add other parents and guardians as well.
With Screen Time, you’re also able to can keep tabs on how much time your young ones are spending using apps, visiting websites, and being on their devices overall. You can set limits for particular apps, set a particular time as downtime, restrict mature content, and more with this feature.

If Video Automatically Streams To An Airplay Device

How To Share Apple TV+ With Family Members
Once you’ve set up Family Sharing, then you can begin to share different Apple services, including Apple TV+, with members of your Family Group. During the initial setup process, you had to select at least one program to share with family members. If you only have Apple TV, or if you selected Apple TV as the option to share, then there’s nothing more you need to do. Your family members should automatically have access to your Apple TV+ channel.
If you selected a different service, you can still share Apple TV+ using the steps below.
You must set up Family Sharing on an Apple device . You won’t be able to set it up from an Apple TV, a Windows device or computer or other non-Apple devices that support Apple TV+.
Can You Share Apple TV With Another Apple Id Outside Of The Family
Sure! The term Family Sharing is just a name theres no requirement that everyone has to be related. You just need their name and email to send them an invitation. Theres just one important caveat: Only a maximum of six people can be part of a Family Sharing plan. You can remove anyone over the age of 13 from your Family Sharing plan at any time, but there is no way to have more than six people at one time.

How To Setup Family Sharing
Family Sharing is simple to setup. The person who sets it up becomes what Apple calls the Organiser, and they are able to choose the features your family shares, as well as invite up to five family members to join their Family Sharing group.
Once an invite is accepted, that family member will see Family Sharing setup on their device automatically.
How To Use Family Sharing With Find My
All of these Family Sharing features are great, but not so useful if you lose your Apple device. With Find My and Family Sharing enabled, though, you can at least have a better chance of tracking down a lost device since anyone in the family can view its location in the Find My app. So, next time mom can’t find her iPad or dad leaves his iPhone at Starbucks, other family members can help find it!

Long Hdmi Cables Are Ineffective
You might be hoping to use an HDMI splitter to connect your Apple TV to multiple TV screens throughout your house. To do this, youll need to run long HDMI cables from the splitter to each of your TVs.
However, HDMI cables typically max out at around 10 meters, after which the signal becomes too weak and starts to drop out before reaching the TV. Due to the nature of digital signals, when the signal gets weak it stops working altogether, rather than going fuzzy like old analog TV signals used to do.
Its unlikely that 10 meters is long enough to thread the HDMI cables to all the different rooms you want it to reach. You might be able to fix this by chaining your signal through more amplifiers, but it starts to get incredibly expensive when you do so.
Setting Up Family Sharing
The only thing you need to do in order to starting sharing Apple TV+ with the whole family is to set up Family Sharing.
Apple TV+ is treated like another Apple TV Channel in the TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac. So if you’re already sharing Apple TV Channels with your family, you’ll automatically start sharing Apple TV.
