Fix: Cant Watch Live TV On Hulu On Lg TV
Recent Hulu updates have meant that certain LG TV models will not be compatible with it. But if you have a compatible LG TV model and are still stuck on a black/blank screen or generic app load error messages, then the following should be of some help:
First up, completely close the Hulu app. To do so, hold the back button until you are on your home screen. This will automatically close the app. Then go to the Hulu app again to reopen it and check if the issue is resolved.
If it hasnt, the next option is to perform a power cycle and turn off your LG TV. Unplug your router, unplug the TV and hold the TV power switch for about 10-12 seconds. Wait for a while before restarting the TV, then check if you can access Hulu + Live TV.
The next method involves clearing out cache and data for the Hulu app. This removes the large temporary files that get built up over time and frees up the much needed internal storage space. To do so, simply navigate to Settings then Apps. Select the Hulu app, then click on Clear Cache. You may also want to Clear Data, but be advised that you will be required to enter your Hulu credentials the next time you open the app.
Lastly, check your internet connection and ensure that youre getting decent speeds to stream Live TV.

When Hulu increased prices for Hulu Plus Live TV in December 2021, the rate jumped $5 to a whopping $70 per month but the company threw in access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Cord-cutters who subscribe to Hulu’s live TV streaming service, which streams channels like CBS, NBC, ESPN and CNN live, now have both included in their plans at no additional charge. Disney Plus and ESPN Plus normally cost $8 and $7 per month, respectively.
If you’re a Hulu Live TV subscriber who already has Disney Plus, ESPN Plus or both as a separate subscription, the new bundle will save you up to $10 per month. Hulu allows you 50 hours of cloud DVR storage with the base subscription, but that doesnt come with the ability to fast forward through commercials.

Hulu says you can pay an extra $9.99 per month for its Enhanced Cloud DVR add-on, which boosts your cloud DVR storage to 200 hours and provides an ad-free DVR experience.
YouTube TV gives unlimited storage for cloud DVR with its base subscription, so Hulus offering in this area leaves a lot to be desired.
Hulu does help users manage their DVRs by showing the amount of storage left and giving the option to record only new episodes of a show to avoid clogging things up with reruns.
