At International CES 2015, Google announced an expansion to Google Cast called “Google Cast for audio”, which allows apps that support the Google Cast SDK to play audio through compatible Wi-Ficonnected speakers, soundbars, and receivers. Where Is The Google Chromecast Extension
I spent way too much time looking for a Chromecast extension, but you don’t need to download anything new to get Chrome to work with Chromecast.
If you don’t see a Chromecast button in the menu bar, just click the three dots button in the top corner, and select Cast. Then, you can see the available devices to send video to your TV.
To keep the button there, right click on the Cast logo and select Always show icon.
What Is The Difference Between Chromecast And The Chromecast With Google TV
To put it simply: $20 and a heck of a lot of apps. The Chromecast with Google TV makes Google’s streaming device a lot more like the Fire TV sticks and Rokus it’s always competed with.

- To enable Chromecast, navigate to User Features –> Mobile Apps in the CMS.
- Select the checkbox for Chromecast and upload the Splash Screen for the Chromecast.

What Is Android TV

Its entirely possible to use an Android TV exactly as you would a Chromecast. Anything you can cast to a Chromecast, you can also cast to an Android TV. It can get a little strange, though.

There’s An Easier Way But It Depends On Your Phone
Using the Home app isn’t a lot of work, but there’s an even easier way: Use the Casting shortcut in the quick settings panel. Access the quick settings panel by swiping down from the top of your Android phone or tablet’s display. There should be an option labeled Screen cast — if you can’t find it, you may have to tap on the pencil icon to edit what is and isn’t available in your quick settings panel.
Once you find the Screen cast button, select it and then pick the device you want to mirror your display on from the list. It can take a few seconds for your phone to connect to the Chromecast-enabled device, but once it does, your screen will show up on your TV. Stop casting by repeating the same steps we just outlined.

Casting From The Mobile App
1. Download the Oculus App on your mobile phone

4. In the Oculus App, locate the rectangle with waves coming from it in the upper right-hand corner

5. Make Sure Your Oculus Quest 2 Headset is connected
When you tapped on the symbol it should have automatically connected to your Oculus Quest 2 headset. It will appear in the “Cast From” section of the app.
6. Select your TV or casting device in the “Cast To” section
If your TV or other casting device isn’t appearing you can tap the button to search for other devices, and as long as it is enabled it should appear.
7. Click Start at the bottom of the screen to begin casting your gameplay
A notification will appear on your headset once casting has begun to let you know that your gameplay is now on your TV.

Screen Mirror Using A Dex Cable Or Hdmi Cable

If you can’t connect your phone or tablet to a TV wirelessly, you can still screen mirror using a DeX cable or a USB-C to HDMI cable. Just connect the cable to your TV. Screen Casting: How And When To Use It
I want to play video, music, or other content on another display in the same room.
Screen casting differs from screen mirroring in two ways. When youre casting to another display, youre not mirroring the screen of your device. You can cast a video to another display and still use your device, often a phone or tablet, without interrupting the video or showing any of your other content. When you cast content from your phone to a TV, you will no longer see the content on your phone. It will only appear on the TV.
Additionally, the content is not played from your phone or tablet. The device connected to the display downloads and plays the content on the TV. Once you have screen cast the content to the TV, you will need to control it from the TV and not your phone or personal device.
The term casting as it is currently used grew in popularity largely after the launch of Chromecast, and it quickly became the standard term for playing content on your TV from an app on your mobile device.
