Twins’ Aaron Sanchez: Short Start In No
Sanchez allowed two runs on six hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out two in 3.2 innings in an 8-3 win Sunday against San Francisco. He did not factor into the decision.
Sanchez has allowed two runs in each of his three starts for Minnesota, with Sunday’s outing being his shortest since joining the team. It was a rocky outing for the veteran as he allowed eight of the 18 batters he faced to reach safely and tossed just 50 of 81 pitches for strikes. He has a 4.26 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 14:4 K:BB in 12.2 innings for the Twins. With Tyler Mahle likely returning at the end of the week, Sanchez may not make another start for Minnesota for a while.

Bundy allowed two runs on nine hits and a walk over 4.2 innings against the Red Sox on Monday. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.
Bundy would’ve earned his eighth win if he would’ve been able to finish the fifth frame. He gave up an RBI double to Alex Verdugo in the third inning followed by another RBI double to Reese McGuire in the fourth. Bundy is now sporting a 4.53 ERA with an 80:24 K:BB through 23 starts and he’s given up two or fewer runs in five straight outings, though he’s failed to complete six innings in any of them. The 29-year-old is lined up for a road start against the White Sox this weekend.

Twins’ Jake Cave: Homers Swipes Base
Cave went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, four RBI and a stolen base in an 8-3 win Sunday over San Francisco.
Cave blasted a two-run shot in the fourth inning and drove in two with a double in the fifth, later stealing third base. After failing to record a hit in 11 straight appearances, spanning 21 at-bats, Cave has multi-hit games in each of his last two contests. He hit seventh and played left field Sunday in just his fifth start in Minnesota’s last 15 games.

Ober is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers on Thursday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Ober tossed live batting practice without issue Monday and will now progress to the next phase of his rehab. Park notes that due to his extended stay on the injured list, Ober won’t be stretched back out to a starting role but instead could be used in long relief once activated.

The Minnesota Twins have been in existence since 1901. They spend the first 60 years of that span having been spent in the nations capital as the Washington Senators.
The seasons that are most treasured by this franchise occurred in 1924, 1987, and 1991. Washingtons ace pitcher Walter Johnson helped lead the Senators to the first of those titles. The 1987 and 1991 Twins both claimed seven-game World Series wins, over the St Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves.
The Twins went through a low period immediately following their most recent title, failing to qualify for postseason play from 1992 to 2001. But they were back in contention from 2002 to 10, recording eight winning marks and six postseason berths in that nine-year span.

Another down period followed, but the franchise has played well since 2017.
