Apple TV 32 Vs : Which Should You Buy
The Apple TV experience is mostly centered around media, be it from Apple Music, Apple TV+, or streaming apps like Netflix. Most of that media, no matter its origin, is streamed. Therefore, you don’t need a lot of storage on your Apple TV 4K if all you’re doing is streaming, and thus, you should probably stick with the less-expensive 32GB model.
But if you like to download a lot of media, apps, and games, the 64GB model might be for you. Especially if you’re an Apple Arcade subscriber who wants to play games on your TV using a controller, then you’ll want to check out the larger model. Your choice will depend on how you plan to use your device.
Small And Medium TV Sizes
Small flat screen TVs are the perfect screen size for your bedroom or kitchen. For even smaller spaces, choose a versatile 12V model ideal for motorhomes, caravans and boats. 22 inch up to 32 inch TVs are ideal for viewing up to 1 metre away whilst 26 inch to 38 inch TVs are ideal for a large bedroom or smaller living space, with viewing distances of 1 to 1.5 metres. Modern TVs are very thin, making it possible to fit larger screen sizes into compact rooms.
Finding The Right TV For Your New Home
Youll spend a lot of time lounging in your living room and enjoying a movie night or curled up in bed binging the latest on Netflix. Choose a TV that will serve its purpose without overwhelming the space. If you are in the process of viewing apartments, be sure to consider where your TV would fit best in the new space.

Other Factors To Consider When Choosing A TV
There are a few other factors that you may wish to consider when selecting a TV size.
The first is room aesthetics. Some rooms may accommodate a 90 TV based on viewing distance, but if that room is a formal living space, then aesthetics should also be considered.
Safety should also be considered. When placing the TV on a piece of furniture, be sure to consider the TVs size and weight and the furnitures weight limit.
Consider the best height to mount your TV, which could determine how large the screen can be. The height of the TV may change the rooms aesthetics and may be a determining factor.
Mounting height should definitely be considered when placing the TV. Learn more about TV mounting costs and different bracket options.
Finally, the budget should factor into your decision when selecting a TV size or resolution. Larger screens and higher resolution displays cost more, and it would be wise to evaluate the cost of the display into the decision when selecting the ideal TV for your application.
How Do I Know What Size Inverter I Need
You probably already know that inverters convert DC power into AC electricity.
Its always recommended that you choose a pure sine wave inverter.
This type of inverter delivers high-quality electricity similar to your utility company, this way none of your appliances run the risk of being damaged. We explained all of this in our recent article What is a pure sine wave inverter.
When it comes to sizing your inverter, you always need to check the wattage of your appliances and make sure that the total wattage of your appliances fits into the inverters max power output.

TV Buying Guide Quick Tips
If youre in a hurry, here are the most important things to consider before you buy a television. We explain each of these points in greater detail in our TV buying guide below:
- Dont buy a TV with less than 4K resolution. Avoid full HD or 1080p sets.
- You can skip 8K TVs . 8K TVs are super expensive, and 8K movies and shows aren’t available yet.
- Expect to pay about $500 for a good budget 55-inch 4K TV. And at least $900 for a 65-inch model. Models with better picture, speakers and features will cost more.
- Look for 60 Hz or 120 Hz refresh rate: When it comes to refresh rates, 60 Hz is good, but 120 Hz is better. A higher refresh rate provides smoother motion for everything from movies and shows to live sports and gaming.
- Look for an HDR-compatible set: This offers more realistic colors and better contrast.
- OLED TVs look much better than most LCD sets: But QLED TVs from Samsung, Vizio and TCL are an affordable middle ground.
- Look for at least four HDMI ports. And opt for the newer HDMI 2.1 format if you can.
- Plan to buy a soundbar. TV speakers are worse nowadays because the screens are thinner.
- Avoid extended warranties. Your credit card company may already provide purchase protection
How Wide Is The Stand
The second size-related consideration is the televisions attached stand. If you arent going to mount your new TV on a wall, this will play a big part in how much space it takes up on your console table, and many newer TVs have feet at the far edges. You need to ensure that wherever you plan on placing the television is wide enough to accommodate the stand. Youll want to be strict here, too. Often, people think its safe to let the corners overhang, forgetting that its been designed to rest on a flat surface. Fail to do so, and the faintest breath of wind could send the whole thing tumbling over.
For situations where you cant wall-mount your TV and cant see yourself parting ways with a cherished piece of home theater furniture, you can always opt for a universal TV stand. Similar to a standard TV wall mount, VESA-certified arms are screwed into the back of your TV, while a mounting bracket is fixed to the base of the stand. Many universal stands also will tilt and pivot up and down, as well as left to right.

How Close Should You Sit To A 4k TV
The suggested viewing distances in the tool above are based on high-definition televisions, but many now come with 4K ultra HD screens, meaning you can sit that little bit closer. Pictures on these TVs can have four times the detail of a Full HD set, but you really need to go 40-inch or larger to appreciate the jump in picture quality.
So if you’re expecting to watch 4K content, don’t be afraid to opt for sets at the upper end of the scale shown above – or even a bit higher. For example, with a 40-inch 4K TV, 7 feet should be a comfortable distance.
Ultimately, though, how close you sit to your TV – whether it’s a HD or 4K model – is down to your own personal preference and the way you’ve set up your living room.
After you’ve decided which size TV is best for you, you can use the results from our rigorous, independent lab tests to pick the perfect model for your budget. Go to:
Buying Bigger Expect An Adjustment Period
One thing is for sure, even if you are within the 30º to 40º recommended field of view, a new TV can take some time to get used to. From our experience, it can take anything from a few weeks to a few months to get used to the size of a large display.
In that time you might adjust the height or distance you sit from your display to feel more comfortable. It isnt unusual to experience cyber sickness with larger displays, especially while playing games. This is like motion sickness but in reverse, where you see movement on the screen but dont feel it in your muscles or inner ear.
Provided your TV is hovering around the 30º to 40º field of view mark, you will eventually get used to it and stop noticing the increased size. Turning the brightness down can help you adjust since many models use overly vibrant picture modes out of the box. If youre not being used to the at-times searing peak brightness of new HDR sets, that can make the size stand out even more.
With enough time to adjust, you might even decide that you could have gone a size larger!

Finding The Best Screen Size And TV Viewing Distance
The first thing to appreciate is that this isnt an exact science.
Yes, some calculations are available to give you a better idea of the ideal screen size, and these are covered later.
But you should understand there are several factors which can affect your opinion of the right-sized TV for your room:
- Personal taste
- The location in the room
- The resolution of the TV pictures you are watching
- Even the quality of your eyesight!
You can put two people in the same room, and both may have a different opinion of the right size screen and the best viewing distance.
However, it can help get some solid numbers to give a starting point, so how might you do this?
Well, there are three ways that you can try.
Some of the numbers presented here are based on the excellent work by Carlton Bale. If you like working with spreadsheets, you might want to download his home theater spreadsheet calculator.
The information here can be used for TV and projector screens.
Visualizing How Your TV Will Look
One of the best ways of visualizing how a larger TV will look in your living room is to create a cardboard model of the screen size. You can do this by taping a few old boxes together, then prop it up in place and stand back.
This wont simulate what its like watching content on the TV, but it will give you a good idea of whether the field of view is too wide, or whether the TV looks ridiculous in a small room. You can move furniture around to suit or see what difference mounting the TV on the wall would make.
This technique is useful from a home design perspective, but its not an exact science. You should be able to see whether the edges of the screen are too wide for comfortable viewing, but you wont know for sure until you get the TV up in person.

How To Measure TV Size
Tip: How to measure TV screen size
What is the screen size? The TV screen size is the most important measurement since retailers list new HDTVs by the size of the display.
To accurately determine the screen size, hold the end of your tape measure in one corner and extend it diagonally across to the opposite corner. Ensure your tape measure is inside the TV screen frame, so you only measure the visible screen area.
That distance is your screen size or diagonal screen size.
More Home Theater Advice
Do you want to go that big? Well, that’s a different question. I find larger screen sizes easier on the eyes, as more of your field of view is taken up with the roughly uniform brightness of the screen. In an otherwise dark room, your pupils are more naturally closed to the amount of light thanks to the big screen.
Conversely, I find watching a small screen in a dark room more fatiguing, as your pupils are more open with this one annoying pinprick of bright light . Many people complain about headaches when they watch TV in a dark room. One possible cause is the hundreds of nits from an HDR TV taking up a tiny fraction of your field of view. Think about when someone shines a flashlight in your eyes when you’ve been in the dark for an hour. With a projector, you’ve got far less light than what a TV produces, and it’s spread out over a huge swath of your vision.

How To Measure The Depth
The depth is the distance from the front to the back of the TV, measuring how thick the TV is. This will tell you how far it will stick out from the wall or whether it will fit into an alcove or entertainment unit. To measure the depth of the TV, start at the front edge and measure back to the furthest point.
Quick tip: If you don’t have a tape measure, you could use a few sheets of 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper to measure the TV. You can also use a dollar bill, which is 6 inches long and 2.5 inches tall.
How To Choose The Best TV Mount For You
Picking the best TV mount starts with your TV: how big is it and how heavy is it? You want to make sure the TV mount will work with its size and be able to handle the weight. Next, youll need to check that the TV mount you choose will attach to your TV properly. Most TVs these days are VESA compatible, meaning the mounting holes on the back of the TV are a standard distance from each other. VESA patterns differ based on the TV size itself, but generally are listed as 200 x 200 millimeters, 400 x 400 millimeters and so on.
With several styles of TV mounts to choose from, your next choice is whether you want one thats fixed tilts or uses an articulated arm . Fixed mounts tend to have the lowest profile, meaning the TV will be closest to the wall. This can make it challenging to get to ports unless the TV mount has a way to release the TV from the mount for access. Tilting TV mounts can be great for angling a TV for better viewing. Articulated TV mounts give you a lot of flexibility, with arms that both extend and swivel, allowing you to position the TV for the best viewing angle.

Other Things To Consider
Viewing angle: Some TVs can lose colour accuracy and contrast when you’re not watching the picture directly straight on. It’s a bit like the image is being washed out. With TVs, this can be a problem if you have a narrow living room or often watch TV with a big group of people. Check our expert reviews for viewing angle ratings for every television that we test.
Curved screens: Many TVs from the big brands now have curved screens rather than flat. They’re claimed to ‘wrap’ the picture around you like with IMAX, but the effect is subtle at best, and you have to sit straight on to really see it. Also, the screens can occasionally appear a little warped, particularly when lights reflects off them.
The stand: generally, the bigger the TV the bigger the stand will be and while this is usually the case buying a new big-screen TV doesn’t necessarily mean you need to throw away your old media unit. Some TVs have a central stand, while others have separate feet at each end of the screen. If you have a smaller unit then look for a set with a central stand.
How To Calculate The Length/depth Of Wall Mount Screw
If you are confused, then you can also go for Universal TV to Wall Bracket Screw Kit. You can buy it either from the store or buy it online. The kit will have all the screws needed and also come with washers and spacers for good adjustments. Please note that the screw which will holds the mounting bracket to the TV must have at least 5 millimeter of threads into the television for the secure installation. Make sure that everything is correctly installed and also add the thickness to TV mounting bracket when you are calculating the TV mount screw length. This will help in more secure mounting. A wrong screw can cause in TV falling down and can result in a cracked TV screen. So handle everything carefully. Yo can also watch the video below for more clarification.
If there is any confusion then we advise you to take help from a professional. Many online companies such as Amazon also provide home service for TV mounting. We recommend using their services.

Echogear Full Motion TV Wall Mount Egmf2
Full-motion mount for smaller or lighter TVs
Reasons to avoid
Not everyone who wants a TV mount that swivels needs the robust features of a dual-arm articulating model. A single-arm articulating mount, such as the Echogear Full Motion TV Wall Mount EGMF2, can do many things its beefier cousin can, and usually costs less. With an impressive 20 inches of extension, 15 degrees of tilt and 90 degrees of swivel, the EGMF2 could be a solution if you have a TV thats between 32 and 60 inches and weighs less than 60 pounds.
The EGMF2 is easier to install than a dual-arm model because you only need to mount it to a single stud. But that means you ideally want that stud in the center of where you want to mount the TV not always an option. The EGMF2 supports VESA patterns from 100 x 100 to 400 x 400 millimeters fewer than many of our picks.
