Sharing is caring, as they say, so why cant that apply to our phones? Well, it can! And we dont mean Facebook or Snapchat. You can share whats on your phone screen right there on your TV for the whole room to see, whether it be a holiday slideshow or hilarious comment thread.
Now, you might be thinking well, Im not a technical wizard, I cant do all that stuff, but the good news is, weve broken it all down into some simple steps to help. Now no one will be left trying to peek over a shoulder trying to get in on the fun.
Overall TV Size Measurements
Measure and cut the frame sticks approximately four inches larger than the overall size of the Framed Mirror TV.
To find the overall size of the Framed Mirror TV before it has been built, you can use the Display Wars tool, or simply measure the screen without the bezel.
Take the actual Screen Size and plug it in. That gives me 23.97 x 13.48. Then add the frame width to both dimensions.
The Yakisugi frame is 2.5 in width, so the overall size with the frame should be 28.97W x 18.48H.
In my example, I cut the frame sticks to be 32.97 , and 22.48 .Mini Pro Tip: Cut double the frame material, you will need the other four pieces for the back build.

Pairing Android Smartphone To Smart TV

Step 1: Open the Settings tab on your smart TV to find the Screen Sharing option
Step 2: On your phone, open the Settings tab > Wireless display > Screen sharing. You should be able to find the screen sharing option when you search it in the Settings app

Since 2013, the Wi-Fi Alliance has rolled out the Miracast wireless display standard, using peer-to-peer Wi-Fi Direct to enable point-to-point connections between devices without the use of a router.
Miracast devices allow streaming of up to 1080p video and 5.1 surround sound, and the connection is secured using WPA2 encryption. Content is streamed directly through your device, meaning Miracast devices unlike Googles Chromecast do not need an external internet connection. Think of it as HDMI over Wi-Fi.
Sounds great, but how do you use it? Well, for starters you will need your devices to support Miracast. This should not be a problem with newer devices but older devices may need to use a Miracast adapter, which can be plugged into HDMI and USB ports.
In terms of the operating system, you will need to have Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1, Android 4.4, BlackBerry 10.2.1, or greater. OS X and iOS do not work with Miracast, as Apple uses its own AirPlay technology. On the receiving end, most TVs released over the past few years will have inbuilt Miracast support. If your TV is older than this, so you will need to buy a Miracast dongle, such as Microsofts Wireless Display Adapter or Asuss Miracast Wireless Display Dongle.
Buying an adapter that matches the make of your phone, laptop, or tablet is a good choice, but the Miracast connection should work across devices regardless of brand.

1. Swipe down from the top-right corner on newer iPhone models, or up from the bottom of the display, to access Control Center.

If you don’t have a Chromecast-compatible device, use an HDMI cable and adapter to connect your phone to your TV and mirror what’s on your screen. You have a few different options here, and which one you choose will depend on the type of display you’re connecting to, how long, andmost importantlywhether or not you’ll need to charge your phone while doing it.
The simplest option is a USB-C to HDMI adapter. If your phone has a USB-C port, you can plug this adapter into your phone, and then plug an HDMI cable into the adapter to connect to the TV. Your phone will need to support HDMI Alt Mode, which allows mobile devices to output video. This method will take up your charging port, unless your adapter has a charging port.
If you have an older Micro USB-style port, you will need a micro USB to HDMI adapter. With this method, your phone will need to support a different protocol called MHL. If you have a supported phone, hook it up to the adapter, then attach an HDMI cable and connect it to a TV.

Is There An App To Mirror iPhone To TV
There are several apps that will allow you to wirelessly mirror your iPhone to a TV that is not AirPlay 2-compatible. However, most of those apps require a streaming device, like a Roku or Chromecast. If you have one of those devices, you can use the device software to mirror your iPhone in most cases, without the need for another app. For example, to mirror your iPhone to Roku, you need only have the Roku app on your phone.

Most modern PCs can be physically connected directly to a television. A desktop system will typically offer at least one full-sized HDMI socket, and some larger laptops do as well.
When you connect a TV to this socket, it will detect automatically: if you already have a monitor or laptop display connected, your TV will by default be set up as a secondary display. I recommend ordering the Z-Bars such that they are almost the entire length of the TV on all four sides for the best fit. You can also use smaller ones in a higher quantity along each side if needed.
In this tutorial I actually used corner braces instead of Z-bars because the TV was on the thicker side. It varies from build to build.

Since its debut in 2013, Chromecast has become a go-to device for affordable wireless streaming. Wirelessly Connecting Your Laptop To Your TV
Here, the laptop connects to the TV using a feature called Wi-Fi Direct, or Miracast. This means that you need to have a smart TV that supports screen mirroring using Wi-Fi Direct. Your laptop also needs to supports wireless screen mirroring. Most recent laptops should support this feature. You can look this up online by checking the features of the processor your laptop uses. With the help of Wi-Fi Direct, both devices can connect directly to each other.
Use the TV remote and select the source to Screen mirroring. It will show a screen with the TV name. On the laptop, press the Windows button and type in Settings. Then go to Connected devices and click on the Add device option at the top. The drop down menu will list all the devices you can mirror to. Select your TV and the laptop screen will start mirroring to the TV. The TV name also gets saved in the connected devices list, so connecting the laptop to the TV in the future is easy.
Apple MacBooks use AirPlay to mirror the screen. Your TV needs to support AirPlay though. AirPlay also requires you to connect both the devices to the same wireless network.
