The list of movies available on the streaming service includes the live action adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog, Christopher Nolans The Prestige and Rian Johnsons modern murder mystery, Knives Out.

Middle-earth fans, rejoice! For, September has arrived and will bring with it the long-awaited arrival of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Set thousands of years before the events of Frodo and the fellowship of the ring, this new series will tell a new story featuring new faces and familiar ones, like Galadriel and Elrond.
If that isn’t enough Middle-earth for you, Prime Video subscribers will also be able to stream all the films in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit trilogy if they find the wait between episodes of The Rings of Power too much to bear.
Alongside another Amazon Originals in My Best Friend’s Exorcism, fans of high school football will be happy to know that all the seasons of Friday Night Lights will be available to stream at the beginning of the month. In addition, subscribers will be treated to Dog, He Got Game, and the return of Thursday Night Football.

Tom Clancys Jack Ryan
Amazon Prime Video made a massive splash in 2018 with the launch of Tom Clancys Jack Ryan. This original series stars John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, who has been portrayed in several movies by other actors based on the techno-thriller novels by the late Tom Clancy. The first episode of this eight-episode first season sees Ryan as a young CIA analyst. He thinks hes only going to be working at a desk, but his work has him leave his office and go out in the field to try and stop an Islamic terrorist.
There are two seasons of this Amazon Prime Video original available to stream right now. But the show has been renewed for two more seasons, so you can rest assured that Jack Ryan will be back to fight more threats against the US and the world shortly.
Is Gandalf The Meteor Man
It’s easy to look at the Meteor Man in The Rings of Power and see the frail old body, long white beard, magic powers and immediately think: “Oh look, it’s Gandalf!” If your just a casual fan of the Lord of the Rings movies or read the books a long time ago, the association would only be natural. But as Tolkien schloars would quickly point out, the Gandalf as Meteor Man theory doesn’t work due to the timeline .
If Meteor Man is actually Gandalf, that would a major upset of Tolkien’s established origin for the character. Of course, Gandalf’s story is not without its fair share of twists and secrets , so it’s not impossible that Gandalf had a secret and much less glamorous time on Middle-earth before he got his mind in order. The Meteor Man clearly has trouble adjusting to this new mortal form and understanding how it all works as a Maiar understandably would.
Then again, Gandalf’s character was noted by Tolkien for being the most humble of the Istari and he kind of just pops up on Middle-earth, meeting characters like the elf Círdan the Shipwright and the Hobbits. That’s all to say: a fiery entrance by Gandalf seems wholly out of character.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan
One of Amazons most watched original series stars John Krasinski as Jack Ryan, a former Marine turned CIA analyst. Thinking hes there to work a desk, Ryan uncovers a series of suspicious transactions that catapult him into a dangerous assignment that takes him from behind the desk and into the field. Although Krasinksi is not the first to portray Tom Clancys hero, this adaptation for television still feels fresh. There is no lack of action or special effects in this big-budget show. With Season 3 set to be released this year, this one should be at the top of your watchlist.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power
Ask your average viewer which streaming company has the strongest programming, and almost no one would say Amazon Prime Video. While the Bezos-built platform may lack the sheer breadth of original programming of Netflix, it has committed to a gargantuan swing for the fences with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the most expensive TV series ever made. Only the shows first two episodes were made available for critics to review, but the grand scale of the series is immediately evident, even if the extensive world-building means that the first episode is a little slow. Taking place 3,000 years before the events of the Peter Jackson films, The Rings of Power will tell the story of how Sauron rose to dominate Middle Earth, while following a number of other storylines along the way. Listing any of them in a capsule-sized review is a fools errand, so youll have to trust us that The Rings of Power is worth a look.
