Sling TV Cancellation: How Do I Cancel Sling

AirTV 2 Review: OTA DVR & Sling TV in one channel guide

Sling TV is a month-to-month service and does not require a contract. You can start or cancel Sling at any time, and there are no startup fees, cancellation penalties or equipment-rental costs.

One of our staffers has recently considered canceling Sling TV after Sling TV buffering issues got annoying. Fortunately, Sling’s claiming it’s got things under control.

If you find that Sling TV isn’t what you had hoped for, you can follow the company’s simple process for canceling your membership. On your account page, you’ll see a Cancel Subscription link. Click on the Cancel Subscription option again, and tell Sling why you’re leaving.

After Sling confirms your cancellation, billing will stop immediately. Because there are no contracts, you can cancel at any time for any reason, and you won’t be penalized.

Sling Going Half The Price This Month

There are no changes in the content that Sling puts on offer for subscribers. Instead, this is a way for people to get a glimpse into what Sling provides. To be fair, not all of these additions fit everyones interests of what they watch.

Some people only watch sports. Furthermore, many soccer fans immerse themselves with the game enough that it is virtually all they watch on TV. That being said, many of the packages, including the total TV deal, fit the entire family. Whether that be entertainment, news, other sports or any genre in between, Sling has an option available for subscribers.

Sports Extra

The sports channels offered in Slings add on depend on whether or not Sling Orange or Blue is your base plan. The channels include networks specific to certain professional leagues in the United States, as well as college sports conferences.

However, for the soccer fan, the big inclusion in both is beIN SPORTS. beIN has exclusive coverage in the United States for the French Ligue Un, CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores and various African club competitions. It is a great asset to have to watch some of the most competitive competitions.

This add-on is $11 extra per month. Now, it is $5.50 for the first month.

Other extras

The other six extras all have the same price: $6. However, with Sling going half the price for the first month, each of the add-ons is just $3 for new subscribers.

How Do Sling TV Packages Compare To Hulu

Both Hulu and Sling TV have a plethora of live programming at relatively low costs, with Sling Orange providing access to over thirty channels for the tempting price of $35 a month. Meanwhile, Hulu with Live TVs core package is $69.99, but offers almost twice the number of networks, and bundles in ESPN’s and Disney’s streaming platform.

If bagging an affordable cable alternative is your goal, then the Sling Orange + Blue plan is only $50 a month and will provide a plentiful 50 channels.

But, if your wallet can take the extra strain, Hulu wins as far as value for money is concerned, having thousands of hit OD movies, on top of live TV functionality, sports content from ESPN Plus and exclusive Hulu and Disney Plus originals. You can read more in our Hulu prices guide for further information.

Is The Total TV Deal Worth It

The value of the Sling Total TV Deal comes down to perspective. From a Sling TV subscriber point of view, this deal is worth taking advantage of. If you want the richest Sling TV experience possible then the Total TV Deal will add all the channels, and increase the DVR limit, for $21-27 per month. From the wider perspective, with the cost of a Sling Orange or Sling Blue subscription increasing from $35 to $50 per month, the overall cost is no longer cheaper than the competition.

When factoring in the Total TV Deal, Sling TV becomes similar in price to AT& T TV or Hulu Live TV. At the higher cost, some Sling TV subscribers may find they are better off spending those extra couple of dollars and opting for one of the other services. For example, Hulu Live TV costs $5 more, but also comes with the basic Hulu subscription included valued at $5.99 per month. Therefore, any Sling TV subscriber who also subscribes to basic Hulu and the Total TV Deal may find a Hulu Live TV subscription better suits their individual channel and package needs.

How Does Sling TV Work

When you open the Sling TV app, you’ll see a home page suggesting your favorite channels first and then your recordings.

One thing we felt indifferent about on Sling’s home page was the fact that there wasn’t a Recordings tab at the top. Instead, you’ll have to find your Recordings amongst the rows on the home page .

On the home page, there will also be rows of on-demand content that we are all accustomed to seeing on streaming services. You’ll see recommendations like Trending Live, Popular Shows, Hit Movies, and Top Rentals.

You can find more on-demand TV shows and movies with the handy On-Demand tab at the top. Some TV series and films you can pull up after a long day include Hoarders, House Hunters International, Grown Ups 2, and Ice Age 3.

There is also a Rentals section to rent movies for $3.99$5.99, similar to Amazon Prime. Here, you’ll find titles like Raya and the Last Dragon, The Croods: A New Age, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Local Channels On Sling TV

Sling Orange And Blue Combo review

When it comes to local channel availability, Sling trails a bit behind the competition. With a Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Blue subscription, viewers in select cities have access to FOX and NBC with the purchase of an AirTV device and HD antenna. However, Sling is noticeably missing local channels from major networks like ABC, CBS, and PBS these arent offered to help keep subscription costs low. .

Sling TV 202: Packages Channels Pricing And More

Sling TV has two base packages and plenty of add-ons to customize your subscription. Here’s everything you need to know about the service’s plans, price, channels, and more.

Sling TV is one of the most affordable streaming services right now offering both live and on-demand content. Three base packages are available that provide access to more than 50 popular networks — including AMC, Disney Channel, CNN, ESPN, TNT, and Discovery Channel — and it’s a great option for families with a wide variety of interests.

Aside from a varied Sling TV channel list and multiple subscription plans, the service also includes coveted features such as a DVR, the ability to stream on multiple screens, and no annual contracts. This guide will cover everything you need to know about all three Sling TV packages — from available channels and monthly fees to on-demand content and premium add-ons.

Sling Offering A Month

bySeptember 15, 2022 EDT

Sling has a new offer that makes its extras and add-ons half of their usual price. Moreover, the total TV deal, which provides access to all the extras offered by Sling, is just $10.50.

Everything from the sports and comedy packages to lifestyle and Hollywood add-ons are half-off. This deal only lasts a month. Plus, it only applies to new users. However, if there was ever a time to switch to Sling Blue, Orange or a combination of the two, now is the time.

Finally, the base Sling plans are also half off the first month. For reference, Sling Blue and Sling Orange are usually $35 per month. Yet, new subscribers can pay half that, $17.50, for their first month. Same applies to the Sling Orange & Blue rate. Traditionally, that is $50 per month. But, again, this will be $25 for new subscribers. In both instances, the price will rise back up to its normal cost after the first month of subscription expires.

The thing to truly keep an eye on in this Sling TV announcement are that extras are half the price.

Sling prides itself on letting the consumer pick the channels they want via packages and extras they offer. Instead of paying just shy $70 per month with fuboTV or YouTube TV, Sling can charge less, but there is less content. Of course, this is no issue if the user only watches select channels. Therefore, Sling providing half the price on extras can go a long way, especially if you are a cord-cutter looking to see what Sling can offer.

Sling TV Review: The Best Budget Live TV Streaming Service

Sling TV Blue offers cord-cutters a wealth of live channels for an affordable price, but you may need to bring your own antenna.

Live TV streaming services are designed to replace cable TV by letting you stream live channels over the internet. Yet for the budget-conscious TV viewer, not all services are created equal: For instance, YouTube TV offers a lot of channels but it costs twice as much as the cord-cutter-friendly Sling TV. Starting at $35, Sling TV offers an excellent value with plenty of channels on offer, and it finally looks the business with its new coat of paint.

  • Solid selection of channels for the price.
  • Numerous choices and add-ons
  • Optional $99 AirTV 2 tuner for local channels.

Don’t like

  • No local channels beyond NBC and Fox in a few cities.
  • Package options can be confusing
  • AirTV channels don’t work on browsers or Apple TV.

Sling TV is different from rivals because it offers two main plans for the same $35 entry price: Sling Orange and Sling Blue. They share many of the same channels but others are exclusive to one or the other. Sling TV Blue is essentially the Fox and NBC option, while Sling Orange is the ESPN and Disney package.
