This is one of the things Im most excited for and proud of. Phoebe Smith and I are still in the process of whittling down 700 plus names to the final 10. Every person I read about it is the perfect person to take.

In 2022, me and Phoebe will be taking ten people on the worlds first carbon negative expedition of its kind. We know what kind of science were going to be doing, and the cabins are booked. There will be a big focus on conservation, including taking phytoplankton samples, and undertaking whale and seal surveys. Its going to be mind-blowing the experience that this people will have. Each time I take people out, they come back as developed people.

Were There Any Moments Of Real Fear For Either Of You During Filming

Will is the kind of person that doesnt let fear hold him back, and I saw moments of that. There would be times when wed be talking before heading out, and say he is isnt a strong swimmer, but he would smile and carry on. His safety and security teams went ahead and they capsized, and they were brought ashore by the safety crews.

The visual of seeing people who are responsible for your safety, instantly you imagine thats you. I had to make sure I didnt give him a reason to feel anxious, so I had to act like this was normal and continued getting ready for us to go. He took a moment, a breath, to reset.

When we were standing at the top of the moulin , getting ready to rappel down and talking about working with ropes, he said Ive done a little bit. We went down in this hole, and you can hear the ice occasionally making a crack or crunch as it constantly moves. Its the stuff that nightmares are made of.

But he just took a breath, and took it through in his stride. He took the role on of everyone watching this episode. He was anxious, but he handled it and was able to do it.

In Hell’s Lake of Fire, a “hellish phenomena” is spotted in Indonesia, and Brazilian forests are examined in Terror of Termite Town.

“Thousands of advanced satellites and drones orbit Earth, invisible to us yet scanning every inch of our planet,” reads the show’s description.

Welcome To Earth Review Will Smith Has Important Things To Say But Hes No Attenborough

In this Hollywood blockbuster of a nature show, Will Smith crosses horrifying gorges and teeters on the edge of volcanoes to deliver banal messages about conquering fear, and the beauty of the world

Will Smith is looking worried. Hes about to traverse a mighty gorge by rope and if a fall doesnt kill him, the crocodiles in the river below will. Safely on the other side, having been hauled across by Albert Lin, an explorer, he laughs deliriously. In a movie, he says, a stuntman would have done that for him. Smith gets to have lots of new and scary experiences in Welcome to Earth, a six-part National Geographic series . Here he is abseiling down a cavernous ice hole, there he is going to the bottom of the ocean in a submersible all with a look of terror settling across his face.

This is nature documentary, Hollywood-style, produced by the film-maker Darren Aronofsky. Its the second time he and Smith have taken Earth as their set . You can take the men out of Hollywood, etc. The soundtrack is relentless, there are banal messages delivered in artfully lit black-and-white cutaways about Important Things such as conquering fear, or the beauty of the world and a cast of photogenic adventurers who accompany Smith to the ends of the Earth and beyond. There is a lot of ramped-up drama at one point, a diver goes swimming with manta rays, languid as a soft-close toilet seat, and were supposed to believe its incredibly dangerous, like a scene from Jaws.

Crisis on Infinite Earths” is the sixth annual Arrowversecrossover event and features episodes of the television series Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. The Supergirl, Batwoman, and The Flash episodes aired in December 2019 while the Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow episodes aired in January 2020. The events of the Black Lightning episode “The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis” and a two-issue comic book with characters and concepts unused in the live-action episodes also tied into the event.

“Crisis on Infinite Earths”, inspired by the comic of the same name, continues plotlines established in the previous crossover, “Elseworlds“. The preceding episodes of Arrow season eight and much of The Flash season six serve as a prelude to the crossover. In “Crisis”, the Monitor gathers Green Arrow, the Flash, Supergirl, Batwoman, Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, and several others from throughout the multiverse to stop the Anti-Monitor from destroying reality. The crossover’s events result in the Arrowverse being rebooted, affecting all of the series.

    What Parents Need To Know

Parents need to know that The Last Man on Earth is a dark comedy about a man who believes he’s alone on the planet after a virus devastates the human population. Our protagonist, Phil, drinks frequently and to excess, at one point filling up a baby pool with vodka and salting the pool’s rim. Mild cursing: “What the hell are you doing?” and “Dammit.” Frequent sex jokes, such as the protagonist stocking up on adult magazines for masturbation. There’s a bit of violence, from exploding cars to guns breaking glass. At one point Phil attempts suicide, pushed to the brink by loneliness, boredom, and despair. But the most vexing issue for parents may be the dark, uncomfortable issues raised by the show’s premise.

      Is It Any Good

Who hasn’t pictured a scenario in which everyone else on earth disappears, leaving all the world’s stuff for our picking? We’d live in the fanciest house, drink the wine of kings, and do nothing but watch movies all day long. It’s fun to watch Phil testing the waters of his new world. He takes what he likes from the grocery store, parks in the handicapped spot, and, pushing it even further, turns his living room into a sea of garbage and his swimming pool into a toilet. Why not?

But it’s when Phil’s life takes an existential turn — we won’t spoil it — that things get even darker, and we realize what this show is really about: Wiping out humanity doesn’t improve upon human nature. It’s hard to imagine how The Last Man on Earth can sustain itself on its apocalyptic scenario — unlike other after-the-fall dramas such as The Walking Dead or The Last Ship, there’s no colorful foe to fight against. But with its absurdist slant and fresh talent, it’ll be fun watching The Last Man on Earth try.

Why Was Iceland Chosen As The Location To Take Him

One of the things about Iceland is that the landscape is so alien, its so barren and epic. We wanted to introduce the audience to a foreign place, and theres so few places where you can take that many staff logistically, particularly with the variety of habitats glacier, rivers, oceans, and more. Iceland is this place thats constantly changing with its volcanic activity.

Most big cinematic productions tend to go to Iceland because its accessible because its this environment is so vast and different to what were all used to.

At one point, this might have been the biggest productions taking place in the world because of pandemic restrictions, 100-odd people on the ground at one point, with 10 to 15 people just looking after safety at one point. I wish I knew who everyone was, because Id love to thank them all individually, it was a huge undertaking.

We went out to find nest sites of the turtles, the eggs are taken into a secure area of the beach thats fenced and the hatchlings are released into the wild.

A lot of it was serendipity, making the right decisions at the right time and learning from people. I went on a number of courses, such as walking to the North Pole and sea kayaking around the Caribbean. Its about increasing your skill set as much as you can whenever you can.

I wouldnt call myself a professional, but rather a student of the craft. It was a great way to showcase what we can do, and invite people into this field who might never have considered these career paths. I cant imagine many people will watch this and not want to do it.

      Effect On The Arrowverse

Before the crossover, Guggenheim told each of the series’ showrunners that “there’s an opportunity here to introduce some major status quo shift” if they desired this was embraced by each. He described it as not “so much a burden of fixing something, it was the freedom of being able to change whatever we wanted to change”. Guggenheim added that each series would be affected except for Legends of Tomorrow, since “the crossover launches much of that season” and there would be “one rather big ramification”. After the crossover, Dries wanted to “make Kate’s life a little bit more integrated with all of this madness of sci-fi and aliens, and the dense mythology between” the other series, but still keep the grounding established earlier in Batwoman‘s season. However, this was “a little tricky because our characters aren’t yet exposed to this notion of multiple universes, superheroes, powers, and stuff”. An action by Barry would have ramifications for the rest of The Flash‘s season. The goal of the crossover for Wallace was to “tap into that feeling that the readers in 1985 would have had, when reading that story, with the tectonic shifts in the comic world, underneath”. He called the Arrowverse ending a “game-changer” which “opens up to a whole new world”.
