UPDATE: There’s a new Apple streaming device on its way, with the Apple TV 4K 2021 having been confirmed at the Apple Spring Loaded event on April 20. The new device adds a revamped Siri remote and high frame rate capability, as well as color calibration functionality through compatible iPhones.
Apple TV Plus is now firmly in the second half of its first year in the streaming service market, and it’s tough to figure out how it’s doing. Despite Apple’s investment in big, expensive programming with massive stars like The Morning Show, the platform doesn’t compare to the likes of Netflix and Hulu right now. Apple has officially announced the all-new Apple TV, which features a number of great feature additions, but a big question is how much it will cost for you to get one. With a big focus on games and video content, the new Apple TV will come in two models this year. Are All Apple TV+ Shows Available In 4k
Yes. Early on, Apple announced that all shows would be available in 4K HDR/Dolby Vision and that most shows would have Dolby Atmos sound, but it didnt say just how good it would be. According to FlatplanelsHDs Rasmus Larsen, Apple TV+ offers the best 4K streaming quality of any service on the market. Its so good, in fact, that the 4K bitrates are better than what youll see in some iTunes movies.
When Larsen wrote his post in November of 2019, See had the highest bitrate of any Apple TV+ show, with an average bitrate of 29Mbps and a peak of 41Mbps. Snoopy in Space averaged 13Mbps, which is impressive for a cartoon. Netflixs 4K bitrates, by comparison, tend to peak at 16Mbps.

What’s The Difference Between Apple TV+ And Channels
The revamped TV app also includes “Channels,” which will let you subscribe to and watch services like HBO, Starz, SHOWTIME, CBS All Access, Smithsonian Channel, EPIX, Tastemade, Noggin, and MTV Hits, right in the TV app without needing to open a different app. Channels are completely separate from Apple TV+, which is in fact Apple’s own channel and available the Channels section.
